#5.......L is for legs

Spring- ahhh.

Now, I know it has officially been spring for a while now. Some of you may be way past the point of this post- but too bad.

It has been unofficially still snowing in most places. Meteorologists may disagree, but I think that winter has finally left. Unless you happen to live in Alaska- and in that case- um, well- I don't know what you should do. Maybe move to the sunny tropical state of Idaho? Idaho is not sunny and tropical you say? Oh, contrare my friends. Here is the proof:

My windows were open all day.

My new dollar store sunglasses are SWEEEEEET. They make me look super Miami Vice cool.

Butterflies have been sighted.

I am braving up to turn off the thermostat tonight.

Yesterday I weeded my flower beds- for the 2nd time this year!

My kids can step outside my home barefoot & child protective services would not have a problem with it.

My 4-year-old was bit by the meanest, most ferocious black ant you have ever seen. He died, (the ant- not my son), a martyr for his entire colony.

The 7 tulip bulbs I planted have bloomed, (7 you ask? Well, I was on a budget.).

The 77 million weeds in my garden space have sprouted.

I wore capris today.

So what is the point of my seasonal rambling? (In your heads you should now hear the "record screeching" sound.) Capri's? Camille, did you say Capri's?

Yes, the Capri's are out! Unfortunately, (fortunately for my husband), that means so are the new razors, toenail polish and lotion.
When I looked down at my majorly prickly...... ok maybe the term would be sporadically hairy....... legs today, I quickly said a prayer of gratitude that I am a blond. I did shave my legs.... sorta. Apparently when you go all winter long without shaving you also forget how to do a good job. I know that some of you are also guilty of this same problem. How do I know you ask?
Well, last week's sidebar of extremely scientific polls, (which I use the data for extremely scientific and official purposes), told me so.

Ok, ok Camille, get on with it. The bajillions of faithful readers really don't care about your issues.....they have been checking the blog constantly in anticipation of the next fabulous challenge.

Yes- bajillions is a word- I invented it and I invented this blog. So, that makes me a brilliant inventor. So, I can make up words..... and say that Idaho is tropical..... and use lots of .......'s. Have you all noticed I like to use lots of.............'s? Are ..........'s grammatically correct? If you didn't catch on, I like making dots......

Alright already! Stop rolling your eyes people.

Challenge #5.....L is for Legs

Shave your legs every time you shower this week. Lotion legs at least daily. For the grand finale- paint your toe nails a bright beautiful color.

I mean it. You must shave every time you shower. The toenails should be kept up all week too. Some of you may even have to shave the long weird hairs on your toes..... not that I would know anything about those. I have just heard that some people have long weird hairs on their toes.

Pull out the warm weather wear, flaunt the feet and feel those fabulously smooth legs!

  1. This will be the toughest challenge yet--But I need it, that's for sure! :)

You are hilarious--absolutely hilarious! I just love this blog!

  2. I'm only doing this one partially. I have dark, coarse hair and if I shave my legs everyday, I end up with awful razor burn which looks much worse than slightly prickly legs. I shave my legs every other day to avoid the disaster! I am a huge fan of painted toenails and I need to touch mine up anyways!

  3. I shave my legs often, but I'm really excited to paint my nails. I do my nails about three times a year and enjoy every minute of it. The fear of open bottles of nail polish combined with toddlers has made me reluctant to try more often. I'll dedicate one of my precious nap time hours to it this week.

  4. I know my husband will be happy about this challenge. I also know that my toenails could really use a makeover.

  6. This should be fun... an excuse to paint my nails.

  7. Believe it or not it's always summer here so shaving my legs is an every other day occasion. So I will have to step it up to everyday to meet this challenge. As for my toenails...I'm really bad about painting them and letting them go until almost all the polish is gone. So obviously this will be a great challenge for me. In fact, I have been looking at my toenails for about a week now and thinking I really need to do them. Geez, flip flops are the only shoes I own down here so I should ALWAYS have great toes.

  9. This is not a fair challenge for us Alaska girls! I'm not kidding... I'm still using my leg hair for insulation after the 6-20 inches of snow we got this weekend (20 in Anchorage where I was visiting, 6 back here in Kodiak!). If I paint my toenails, it'll just peel off in my winter boots anyway! Not fair!!!!

  11. Shaved my legs this morning, so I have already started!! (tip-use yummy smelling shaving gel, to shave your legs, then it helps prevent razor burn, AND, it makes you smell good all day long!)

I am off to paint my nails!

  12. Bethany and Natalie have inspired me to follow these challenges. I cleaned the funky polish off my toenails while my daughter took her bath - I will paint them after I shower and shave!

  13. I accept this challenge! And I am incorporating it with the smell good challenge, because my favorite lotion is perfumed. I got it for christmas in 2006. I don't know what I have been saving it for!

  17. I'm good at shaving my legs, but painting toe nails only gets done once a year...maybe this can be the time for 2008

  18. I'm shaving away too! I will have to work on the toes though. Although Kennedy, Jocelyn and i are going for pedicures and manicures next weekend on a mommy daughter date. Fun!

  19. I shave my legs every day, no matter what the weather... it is true, you can verify with my sister! However, I hate, hate, hate my feet & I can't tell you the last time I painted my toenails.... so I accept the challenge, toenails & all.

  20. My husband thanks you for this challenge! He noticed right away! Okay, maybe I've been hairy for too long! I'll try and keep up on this one even though I have dark brown man hair as thick as wire that grows like weeds!

  21. Oh hurray! Hurray hurray hurray! I have been computer-less since Sunday so I am just now getting to this, but to my surprise, I was completing a challenge without realizing it! I shaved every time I showered this week! AND I lotioned them yesterday! Maybe tomorrow I'll dig out the nail polish! Hurray! How exciting!

  22. I love painting my toenails! I even keep them painted during the winter even though only my socks and slippers will see them. ;) As for the shaving legs...I thought I was doing o.k. with the whole once a week thing. I'll try harder. Thanks for a great challenge!

  23. Thanks to Kiddle97, I saw this blog and thought it was really fun. I already shave my legs everytime I shower, but I don't usually even look at my toes. However, yesterday was my birthday, and my husband sent me to get a pedicure! My first one ever. Now that I know how nice it is to have pretty toes, I should be pretty good with this challenge! :)I guess now I'll have to go buy some finernail polish...

  24. I'm in. I thought I posted on this already, but I guess I just thought about it. I'm giving my own self a pedicure tomorrow after church. Hoping that the weather this week is better than the SNOW we got last week, and that I can wear sandals!!

  25. This will be easy because I absolutely HATE having hairy legs, even just a little bit. Am I weird? I can't stand it! :)

  26. OK, my candor on the poll about lack of leg shaving is not paying off.
I will shave my legs every time I take a shower. And something about toenails and lotion...
