CHALLENGE......staighten up! (And giveaways too!)
Every now and then (all the time), I must swallow my pride and admit that I am wrong about something. Usually, I am ok with this, but sometimes there is that one person I must acknowledge.
Mother, you were right.
Ok, ok.
Mother, you were right.
I am a short girl (woman- that still seems so "old" to me- I can't admit that I am there yet). Like many of you, I often was told to "sit up straight," "don't slouch," "shoulders back."
Of course, I thought, "Like, whatever."
Fast forward 15-ish years. It would be a smart idea for me to live closer to my mother just so that I could hear these reminders again.
Now, in my great adult wisdom, I truly understand what good posture can do for how you look and feel, (not to mention a good bra- but that is another story).
Are you with me? Are you shifting uncomfortably in your seat right now? Are you rolling your shoulders back? Holding your head a little higher?
A few weeks ago, when I bought my new shirt to wear to my class reunion, I noticed a little change in me. When wearing something "cute," I stood a little taller and obviously, had a little extra confidence. Then, I started fixing my posture at home, grocery shopping and even while mowing the lawn. Who would have thought that I could feel more confident in my grungy yard clothes?
While doing some strenuous research for this challenge, (strenuous = googling "good posture," -I am way past college- that is as strenuous as it gets), I found all sorts of great benefits: muscle strength, good breathing and back health.
However, since I am on a roll with admitting things today though, lets be honest, I am mostly excited that good posture makes one look more fit and lean....I have always wanted to be "lean." I have settled for buying lean meat at the grocery store....but with my new found good posture...and my flab to fab project...who knows what the future holds. Seriously though, good posture is like an instant 10 lb. visual weight loss.
CHALLENGE......straighten up!
For the week, try and have good posture all the time- whether it is doing dishes, grocery shopping, or going out to eat at some fancy schmancy restaurant.
I promise you will feel so much better- almost instantly!
And of course, the real reason you are all still reading is to find out what prizes are ahead:
Great posture definitely deserves a great "look." Sign on for the challenge & you get a chance at a Mikarose $60 gift certificate and a so cute necklace from Apostrophy designs. Now- here is where it gets tricky. You have to go to each of these company's sites and then come back to Ponytail Challenge, and comment on their respective posts below AS WELL AS comment on this Challenge post, agreeing to the challenge.
Phewww. Got that? Good, 'cause there is one more thing. Post about the giveaways on your own blog (or email your friends if you don't have a blog) and you will get an extra entry for a surprise giveaway just for those that have helped to "spread the love:" the Ponytail Challenge giveaway love! Be sure to let me know so that I count it.
We are in the big time now ladies. The great giveaways on the Ponytail Challenge are officially underway!

Ok.. I'll take you up on your challenge! I like what you have to say.
ReplyDeleteI'll try it, and let you know how I feel. Heck, who knows.. I might exude some confidence and get a date out of it :)
i will accept the challenge as I already look like I should work in a bell tower.
ReplyDeleteI'd like the cynthia dress from mika rose, which would look gret with the patricia sling purse from apostrophy designs!
So, I have to say that after havig a high school chorus teacher beat "perfect posture" into my head for four years, my posture is very upright compared to most. I have noticed that I haven't been standing as straight during my pregnancy. Hopefully, a focus on good posture during these past few weeks will help give me some energy.
ReplyDelete'm in. standing tall is always a good thing.
ReplyDelete-jkZiel
MAN I needed this challenge a few weeks ago. We had family pictures and I hate most of the pictures because my posture is so bad. You would think the photographer would have said something. I'm in on this challenge. I need that Allison dress with any of the necklaces from Apostrophy. Then maybe we could get a family picture taken I would want to put on the wall.
ReplyDeleteI think I can manage that. My posture is horrible! Is it supposed to hurt to stand up straight =). I am in love with the Cynthia dress, but the question is would it look good on? =) I also love the Emily, it would probably hide a lot of "flaws". For the necklaces, also so cute! I have a couple cute shirts those would go perfect with!
ReplyDeleteI have officially posted this on my blog. Yippee!
ReplyDeleteOkay... I will work on my posture!! I think it does make you feel better about how you look. Both sites are so cute. of corse being a mom I first looked at the little girls dresses first, so cute!! Then to the ladies dresses, so cute, good thing I am working on the flab to fab too!!
ReplyDeleteI'm in! I need a posture adjustment.
ReplyDeleteOh! Awesome websites! I think I may have to buy some things whether I win or not. I am in LOVE with the Emily dress from Mikarose...the only problem being that I am much "curvier" than the model pictures so I'm not sure how it would look on me. And the necklaces from Apostraphy...so cute! I was shopping in NYC yesterday looking for just such a necklace and i couldn't find one anywhere!
ReplyDeleteCount me in on the challenge. My posture could use some work. (This written as I'm slumped over my computer keyboard).
I could definetly use better posture. Count me in!
ReplyDeleteIm up for it!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll do it! I've been thinking a lot about this as I hear my mother's voice escape my mouth when I look at my slouching child...
ReplyDeleteThis is a GREAT challenge!
Challenge accepted! I am straightening up as I type! :)
ReplyDeleteI also like the Cynthia dress, it is super cute. (all of the dresses are cute!) And I love the necklaces and bags @ Apostophy. I expecially like the Brown Ribbon Necklace...SUPER CUTE! :)
oh, and I blogged about it! SO FUN! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in. But I tell you this is going to be a challenge, especially at work.
ReplyDeleteAnd I blogged this!
Oh, and I have my results thus far on the flab to fab challenge. Not sure if you want me to e-mail you or comment, let me know.
ReplyDeleteI'm in! I usually have okay posture (I think), except for when I'm sitting at my computer, then I slouch over. I'm going to try and sit up straight, even if I'm tired :) I like the Nicole style dress in brown. And I love the necklaces! All of them! I hope I win!!
ReplyDeleteOk, this is a great challenge! I'm in! I absolutely love those dressed! I liked the Isabelle and Emily dress, the pink flower pleated purse, and all the necklaces! Thanks for introducing me to those sites! I'm going to go blog about them right now!
ReplyDeleteOkie dokie, I also put this on my blog, so sign me in for an extra entry. Hooray!
ReplyDeleteI accept the challenge - and yes, I'm sitting up straighter already!
ReplyDeleteI posted about the giveaways on my blog. Spreadin' the love!
ReplyDeleteAgain, what another great challenge- especially for me, being a nursing mother!! :) I'm in!
ReplyDeleteI so need help with my posture. I could hear my own mother yelling at me to put my shoulders back. I could totally use a new dress and necklace.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Leann told me about the ponytail challenge and I love it!
After having my baby I have noticed a drastic change in my posture and it wasn't for the better!! But today is a new day and I want you to know I am sitting up straight and tall, (well as tall as 5'3" will get me!) and it feels great!
ReplyDeleteYou are now a post on my blog as well!
ReplyDeleteI loved the Emily, Nicole and Ella dresses at Mikarose, and any of the necklaces and bags from Apostrophy! And I shall definitely work on my posture. My chiropractor would be so ashamed of me if he could see me now (maybe that's why I haven't been to see him in a while... oh the shame)!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am just about to talk about this on my blog! Count me in!
Oh, and I just finished blogging about this on my blog. There. I think I've done all the requirements now! Time to think about what to make for dinner...
ReplyDeleteI love this site! Thanks Leann for sending me this way. I have always been the tallest girl in the class so I was always slumping down to seem shorter. Now I want my 3 girls to stand up straight and tall and their mom is a terrible example. LOL So I will do better! :)
ReplyDeleteCount me in for posture correction!
ReplyDeleteI just gave this amazing blog a shout out! Put me in twice :)
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know that as I was reading your post I started to sit with better posture (I was slouching in the computer chair, NO WAY)! I'm up for the challenge!!
ReplyDelete~Stacey Fiessinger
csfish@roadrunner.com
Okay, so I haven't been doing too great on these challenges so I'm going to start now. I accept this challenge and I'm also working on the flab to fab.
ReplyDeleteAh, I need this challenge! I've been thinking about posture all weekend. He doesn't know it yet, but my hubby will also be accepting this challenge! ;o)
ReplyDeleteI've posted about this on my blog, too...everyone needs to know about the Ponytail Challenge!!
I'm in!! My husband is alway telling me to stand up strait. I blogged about this too!!
ReplyDeleteI am in. I find with a preggo belly that my posture is sometimes, er, backwards, but I'll work on it! btw, it's also posted on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally game!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteWith packing around a two year old and wanting to be lazy .. a lot I find myself slumping over just to relax. I am going to work hard on my posture- as I know when I do I gain more confidence and less pain in my back oddly!
ReplyDeleteI also added this to my blog!
So far.. It's been a hard one. I've caught myself all day slouching, etc.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great challenge. Sitting up straight can also help to prevent jaw problems like TMJ and helps to prevent headaches. I am in!
ReplyDeleteI am also going to post about it on my blog.
Im in!! This should be an easy one for me. I can't bend half my back. haha.
ReplyDeleteBTW, yay Tori for getting in on the giveaway! Oh, I am putting info on my blog.
First, I love Tori's stuff!! I actually am thinking about getting a bag with a bow that Im going to pick the color. Just waiting for some money to free up. Also I came across Mika Rose on another blog and just love love love their modest dresses. Way to go on this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally taking on this challenge. As a nursing mother, I'm constantly having back pain and definitely need to feel prettier and thinner.
ReplyDeleteOkay I'm in. My posture could really be improved. I loved both websites and I am starting to get ideas about what to ask my husband for Christmas. I also emailed my sisters about the ponytail challenge.
ReplyDeletewhat a great challlenge! i need help with this for sure. i'm in!!
ReplyDeleteI will take the challege! Great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI need this challenge SO BAD! Thanks for the reminder
ReplyDeleteI'll do it. My son's piano teacher is always stressing good posture and I try but I can't keep it up for long. So...I will try again!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Thanks for the nudge in the right direction. I love the Mika Rose site. Great dresses that look fashionable but like you could still chase a toddler in them. I saw their kid dresses at Costco last week. Very nice. I like the bags at the other site as well. Fancy. I will post about your fun site on my blog!
ReplyDeletePick me!!!! Pick me!!! I'm all over new clothes!
ReplyDeleteI'm very tall and thin, so this challenge will be great for me to take advantage of my length. Can't wait to see the results! I emailed my sisters about the challenge and cute sites too....thanks!
ReplyDeleteCamille, I just blogged about the challenge on my blog (yay, me!) so I'd love to have another entry into the giveaway. So far so good with the straigtening up thing. I'm making a conscious effort to carry myself tall and straight. (Well, as tall as 5'2" can get anyways).
ReplyDeleteI accept the challenge! I caught myself slouching as I was reading this week's post. This is definitely the challenge for me! I even blogged about it too...
ReplyDeleteI'm always up for a challenge... and giveaways help! I love the black dresses, and the kids clothes are cute too...but maybe i can win a contest for me this time:)
ReplyDeleteI am totally up for this challenge!
ReplyDeleteI posted about you on our blog too so hopefully some of our friends will join in on the fun :)
Thanks for the challenges, they are just what I need with a 2 year old and a 6 week old ;)
As painful as it may be, I'll accept the challenge. I've had this in the back of my mind for a number of years now, but slouching is just so much easier! But okay okay, I'll do it!
ReplyDeleteI've posted this on my blog. Now it's time to cross my fingers! :)
I loved the Nicole, Emily and Isabelle dress from Mikarose, and the necklaces from Apostraphy were really cute. She sells them from her home? What a good idea!
ReplyDeleteMy body needs this... and it's true- it's hard, but worth it! I'm in.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Blossom Bird Pleated Market Bag from apostrophy. And I love the ariana and isabelle dresses, beautiful!
Here's to a stronger, leaner torso and a straighter back! :)
Hi there! I like the Nicole dress, I think. I just told about the challenge on my blog, and will be working on my posture this week.
ReplyDeleteHopefully my back will stop hurting like I'm 90 years old.
I am up for it!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm up for the challenge! It would probably be really good for me because I swear my back/shoulders are always killing me.
ReplyDeleteI catch myself slumping way too often, so I'll definitely be trying harder to straighten up. Your quiz made me laugh--caving under the weight of children--I only have one, but she loves to hang all over me! Here's to better posture!
ReplyDeleteI'm always up for a challenge. I try to have good posture, but not always.
ReplyDeleteI accept. Even before the challenge I was already sitting a little straighter.
ReplyDeleteLove the childrens dress Madeline. I also love the Nicole dress.
The neclaces are beautiful, the bags are also beautiful. I really love the build your own bow bag, so cute.
Thanks for the fun challenge.
oh yes, i'm up for this challange :) and i'm gonna win! :) lol (a little personal motivation there!)
ReplyDeleteI accept your challenge. This is a great one, because I've always believed that good posture makes me feel better, but these days I have anything but good posture. So here we go--one week with shoulders back and my head held high. Thanks camille!
ReplyDeleteI accept your challenge and you're right...standing up straight does make me feel better right away! It's probably a matter of habit so I'm hoping that by the end of the week I won't even have to think about it anymore, I'll just be doing it automatically. Thanks for the challenge and the giveaway.
ReplyDeletedoot65[at]comcast[dot]net
I'm in! I started doing it while I was reading your post without really realizing it:)
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteyou're on my blog now too!
ReplyDeleteI will take the challenge...(sitting up taller now) I got the challenge from Heidi Webb.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of either of the companies, and love the sites. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be as confident as those models. I love the uniquness of the Apostophy designs. I am definently up for the challenge!
Yeah, I have great posture. I will stand straighter and walk taller.
ReplyDeleteI used to have fab posture, then I lost my abs. Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteCount me in, as usual! I'm sitting up straighter right this very minute!
ReplyDeleteI'm in...ok, truth be told, the dr. and physical therapist told me I had to! BUT I AM DOING IT!
ReplyDeletei posted on my blog!
ReplyDeleteCount me in! I'm sitting here with my newborn causing an interesting numbness in my neck and shoulders. Maybe a change in posture could help. By the way, I was just introduced to your blog on the same day by my sister and a friend and I will most definitely be back!
ReplyDeleteI accept the challenge, I'm also making sure my boys have good posture, even my hubby cause he complains of his back hurting after slouching half the time!
ReplyDeleteI really like MikaRose's dress the "Ella", as for Apostrophy I like the Patricia Rope Sling Purse, it would go with The Ella dress very nicely!
I'm adding this to my blog, I'll come back with my blog address!
I just found your blog and I'm up for the challenge. I'm nursing my second baby and with my 1st, posture went by the wayside...so this is a great reminder.
ReplyDeletespondah[at]aol[dot]com
I have to remind myself all the time to fix my posture. Why can't it just be second nature?
ReplyDeleteAm I too late. I read this a few days ago but am now posting. I NEED to work on my posture. I look more sickly with I have poor posture.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is telling me to "stand up straight" all the time!! And, I'm only 5 feet -- so I guess that I need all the inches I can get!
ReplyDeletep.s. I love, love both of those sites -- I had never heard of the companies, but their stuff is great.
Thanks for the challenge -- I love your website!
You were right...I was sitting with my shoulders back before the end of the post. Love this challenge!
ReplyDeleteI love the Mikarose dresses, especially the Nicole one. It would be great for my brother's wedding.
ReplyDeleteWow! I'd be tempted to use the grocery bag's from Apostrophy as purses. They are so pretty!
As for posture: I am up for the challenge! One of my girlfriends in high school and I were big on standing up straight in the weeks before senior prom. We had also heard that you should slightly hold youru tummy in and you'd strengthen your muscles there, look slimmer and it helps your posture (I think you need to slightly tuck your bottom in too).
Great challenge, and I am up for it! cdziuba@aol.com
ReplyDeleteAs we get older, it's important we work on our posture
ReplyDeleteI think I could use better posture.
ReplyDeleteI love the Elizabeth dress at Mika Rose. I aslo love the cute necklaces at Apostrophy Designs. Thanks for the chance to win!
The Cynthia and Allison dresses are to die for, or well in this case to stand up straight for!! The strung brown necklace from Apostrophy, would go great with the Allison dress BTW.
ReplyDeleteNo really, I think most of us forget about standing up straight, I know I need it in a bad way, computers and daily chores have me slouching horribly.
karissag at gmail dot com
Here's what I loved...
ReplyDeleteMikarose: Emily & Halle!!!
Apostrophy: Green Paisley Reversible Grocery Bag!!!
Great giveaways!
And... thanks for the lecture on posture! I have the worst and have to constantly remind myself: Shoulders back, gut in...
I'll take you up on the challenge! I've been making an concious effort to hold my belly in more, so it can't help to work on posture and core, right?!
ReplyDeleteI love the nicole dress from Mikarose, and the brown beaded necklace from apostrophy would go well with it!
I'll take that challenge. It's not really fair, since I've never been posture-challenged. I had a friend in high school who once lightly mocked me for sitting up too straight. She told me I should slump a little, I looked too proper. Sigh. That same friend also thought I ate too carefully, didn't do my hair just right, and needed better clothes. Eh. She was wrong all counts but one. I do have great posture. My mom drilled it into me. Thanks, Mom!
ReplyDeleteI'd never heard of Mikarose before. What beautiful, wearable clothing. I would wear anything there! Also, love the organic dots grocery bag at Apostrophy.
I do try to have good posture, because I have really bad shoulders - I've dislocated my left one twice. So keeping my shoulders back is important for me. I'll try to be extra careful about that this week!
ReplyDeleteWow, Mikarose has a lot of cute stuff - and the prices seem pretty reasonable! I especially like the Cynthia and the Isabelle.
And I love the Blossom Bird Pleated Market Bag from Apostrophy.
Thanks for this great giveaway!
myshadow28(at)aol(dot)com
It shows people that you care about yourself. I am in!
ReplyDeleteCount me in. I just rolled my shoulders back, and I am ready to go.
ReplyDeleteI'll take that challenge! I worka t a computer all day, which is especially bad for my back. maybe, in addition to sitting up straight, I should try some pilates or yoga.
ReplyDeleteAt Mikarose I love the Nicole dress - it is modern and retro at the same time. I think one of the Rope Sling bags from Apostrophy would complement the dress really well.
You are right about your posture. I'm really going to do this...even sitting here typing, I feel better. I think it will be fun!!
ReplyDeleteThe little girls Daisy dress from Mika Rose is adorable! I'm loving the Spring Flower Pleated Market Bag from Apostrophy Designs. I love the way the color of the flowers pop.
seeryusfam@msn.com
I'll do this challenge for sure. Thanks! afdr3d@umkc.edu
ReplyDeleteI'm in! : ) I've noticed lately that I really look ok when I'm standing straight (and wearing a good bra... nursing 4 babies does that!).
ReplyDeleteI will accept the challenge. While I was pregnant, I developed a serious slouch, so I need to get rid of it. I like the Isabelle dress from Mikarose and the Green Paisley Grocery tote from apostrophy.
ReplyDeleteI'll sign on, too. I'm with the PP, I also started slouching after I got pregnant. Shame on me... but it hurt to sit up straight while pregnant... made me ache. I'll sign on!
ReplyDeleteI'll take your challenge b/c I'm sure that great posture will make me look more like the models do in those Mika Rose dresses. And if that doesn't help I can always use the great beads from Apostrophy.
ReplyDeletemy mom drilled the posture thing into me early on...good thing, since I'm a shorty!
ReplyDeleteIm in!! Its funny b/c I have been thinking abt this a lot lately. I have found my self slumping more and more--so thanks for the boost and reminder!
ReplyDeleteIf only I had someone to follow me around and poke me every time I start slouching!
ReplyDeleteI accept and will do my best!
Love the giveaways, by the way. Do you post your winners?
I'll take the challenge! i've also emailed my sister and cousin about your blog. I'm loving it so far and I think they will too. the dresses on the mikarose site are just gorgeous! Maybe if I stick with the challenges, they'll look good on me too. :) I really like the bags especially at apostrophe but of course the necklaces are pretty too.
ReplyDeleteOK first things first...I am totally up for the challenge! Now if only I could get my husband to do it too.
ReplyDeleteI love the Eva dress and the photography on Mikarose's homepage is absolutely stunning!
The necklaces at Apostrophe are pretty. I like the Bohemian vibe they have going on.
Straightening up as I type. I tend to sit very slunchy at the desk.
ReplyDeleteIf I had that cute dress (Ella). I would definitely stand a bit taller.
Ahem! Sit up straight, shoulders back! I like the Halle dress from Mika Rose and Apostrophy Designs also has some really nice bags.
ReplyDeleteElaine R
emrosser@shaw.ca
Yes, I was getting a little squirmy and straightening up as I read the challenge! I really liked the Butterfly dress for my 5 yo, and the Cynthia dress for me from Mika Rose. And, the Blossom Bird Pleated Market bag from Apostrophy is too cute with the orange applique! Thanks for the very fun giveaway, amguely(at)gmail.com
ReplyDeleteOh, I'll work on posture for 1 week. I don't often check your blog right away, so I always feel behind...
ReplyDeleteOh well I'll start my week of better posture right now.
My mom always told me to sit up straight. Thanks for the reminder. I love all the dresses on Mikarose, especially the Elizabeth one. And, I definitely need a purse makeover from Apostrophe! I accept the challenge, and have officially linked you on my blog.
ReplyDeleteYes I accept the challenge. I like the Ella dress from Mikarose, and the white ribbon multi beaded necklace. Great giveeaway, thanks!
ReplyDeletenow i know about blogging. you are so stinking funny. plus now i can't slouch without the guilt flowing in. thanks for the pressure. i am forced into the challenge.
ReplyDeletelove ya,
edene
Blogged ya:
ReplyDeletehttp://mommyland512.blogspot.com/2008/07/straighten-up-challenge-and-giveaway.html
thanks again!
I'm up for the challenge! :) I need to straighten up more!
ReplyDeleteI love the Ariana dress from Mika Rose and the Little Birdie Pleated Market Bag from Apostrophy! Thanks!
bunnybox9 at gmail . com
I will take your challenge and I will try to stand as straight as I can. I have scholiosis, so my posture is worse than most. So that just means that I have to try harder. I love the Emily dress from Mikarose and the Pink Flower Pleated Purse. Both are adorable. The dress would be a great prize and incentive for my weight loss.
ReplyDeleteSince I'm pretty tall (5'9") I started slouching early, in about 5th grade when I suddenly shot up over everyone else. But I've noticed when I do stand up straight, I feel and look better. So I'll accept this challenge, and please enter me in for the contest... I've got 2 weddings to attend soon, and I saw a dress that would be perfect! And who doesn't love free necklaces? Both sites are very cute. I've blogged about your contest over on my page.
ReplyDeleteMissy, I'm up for the challenge. I'm hoping to be rewarded with the super cute Cynthia dress from Mika Rose and the birdy market bag from Apostrophy. Thanks for sharing the great sites with the lovely fasions and bags. Love them.
ReplyDeleteHUGS,
kat
I agree and I'll take you up on your challenge! I liked the Emily dress from Mikarose, very pretty items there and the Blossom Bird pleated market bag from Apostrophy
ReplyDeletetiramisu392 (at) yahoo.com
I'm sitting up straight RIGHT NOW!
ReplyDeleteMy posture improved just by reading this blog entry. I try to have good posture, and for the most part I do, except in the car and at the computer desk, of course the two places I spend a lot of time, guess my posture is not as good as I thought! Add me to the contest, I have a wedding to go to soon, and saw a lot of cute dresses on that site!
ReplyDeleteI'm so up for your challenge: I'm very tall and my whole life my mom has told me to 'stand up straight' and 'stop slouching'. I pay for it now; when my posture has been particularly bad (like when I'm sitting in front of the computer), my back and neck ache. Even my hubby tells me to 'put my shoulders back'!
ReplyDeletegreat challenge I'm always up straight and then slouching. I really have to be conscious(sp) about the way I'm sitting or standing.
ReplyDeleteI totally know what you mean! I almost wished my mother had forced me to sit up straighter, actually. I have a bigger chest and I've really been paying for it. I'm going to really try to do this! As far as the giveaway, I love the "Emily" and "Ella" dresses on the Mikarose site. So beautiful! On the other site I really love the Patricia Rope Sling Purse. Thanks and wish me luck!
ReplyDeleteThe last time I bought a dress was... before the birth of my first daughter nearly seven years ago. Since then it's been skirts for nursing and maternity clothes. I loved the modest dresses with high neck lines that come below the knees so that squirming children grabbing and squirming at mom can't eliminate dignity by leaving one exposed. (If one has any dignity left by the time she takes four young children anywhere.) Plus, the necklaces as the prefect distraction for a cranky baby to hold onto at church. --Cinnamom
ReplyDeleteI accept your challenge! I always feel more confident standing tall anyways.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, I didn't know it was possible to have this many comments! I didn't know if I could keep up with all these challenges, but I guess if I'm going to start this is a good time to. Count me in! Angie
ReplyDeleteYour mom was right!? I am sure she is delighted to see the confession. But with a daughter to turn out a daughter like you how could she have be otherwise? Challenges... life is full of them, so why not stand tall and look them straight in the eye. Challenge accepted.
