Sweatin' to the Oldies

If you are wondering where I have been, see last week's challenge. Blogging was not top priority. However, searching high and low for the perfect wig for my husband's Richard Simmons Halloween costume was.

I spent Saturday afternoon glitterizing, (Anyone know how to get glitter out of a baby's hair? You know, just in case I ever need to.) a pastel tank top and attempting to make a pumpkin cake.

The baby discovered the art of this:

I spent Saturday evening hiding from the microphone at a costume PAR-TAY, avoiding the possibility of being forced in to participating in dreaded karaoke contest.

However, this man, who may or may not be my aforementioned Richard Simmons- look-a-like of a husband, rocked the house. He may or may not come home tonight after realizing that I posted this photo on the world wide web.

Thankful Monday. I am very grateful that I did not, in fact, ever "take the stage." What are you thankful for today? How do you feel about karaoke?

  1. Oooooh, your baby is so beautiful! I love what she did with the box of tissues. I see design in her future. (And the hair glitter TOTALLY makes her look more princess-y. *wink*)

I am dying over the fact that you may or may not have posted your husband's (or IS he?) Richard Simmons picture on the web. If it were me, I'd be thankful that my husband never reads my blog. :)

Today I am thankful that we found our indoor cat alive and healthy and under our back stairs after one of the kids let her outside a week ago.

  4. Too funny! I love Kareoke so long as it's done in the privacy of my own home with my sister-in-laws machine. We love to sing but not for the public.

I am thankful for Diet Pepsi...I think I need to go get one though...

  6. What a great costume! Hilarious!

Today I'm thankful for cookies. And karaoke is fun, but I wouldn't do it in front of just anyone. I'd have to be pretty comfortable in front of a particular crown to go all out at karaoke. :-)

  7. OOOOH my goodness, I loved this! Camille, you had me laughing from hello (or something like that). Wanna know what I'm thankful for? The Ponytail Challenge, where I can come get a nice big belly laugh and try to work on reducing said belly at the same time. Keep up the stupendously awesome work!

... I'm still laughing... Dear Richard Simmons. He's blessed so many lives...

  8. Before I got to the actual picture of Jason, I was just thinking, "she better post a picture." I LOVE IT! Pretty much the way I remember him... maybe without the wig.

I'm thankful that my husband is MIA half of this year... last major hurdle before graduation! Well- unless you count those pesky boards. He breezed through the first set... should be no big deal, right?
